Fitting neatly into the gap between the heaviest router table and an industrial sized spindle moulder this machine is ideally suited to small professional workshops.
The new Mark III model has been improved again. We have increased the maximum tooling size and increased the Vertical stroke, to allow access to even more tooling. We have also added a 4th spindle speed. The new lower speed enables the moulder to be converted into a spindle sander and is offered as an optional item.
A precision ground cast iron table, a steel base cabinet and a 2hp induction motor are the basic ingredients which make up this fantastic spindle moulder. The height of the spindle is controlled by the large hand wheel which can then be locked in position. A simple belt change selects the correct speed for the tooling.
The body of the fence is cast iron with a dust outlet at the centre. The two fences are adjustable to set the width of the opening to suit the cutter being used. The outfeed fence can also be stepped out, controlled by a fine pitch thread adjuster, for operations where the complete edge of the workpiece is being removed. Fully adjustable guards are connected to a hinged plate which can quickly be lifted to allow clear access to change the tooling.

A New design for 2010
For the small professional workshop this new cast iron table saw will be the perfect fit.
The main table is precision ground cast iron to give a flat surface that will last forever. The surface area is further increased with the addition of 2 steel extension tables offering greater support when working with larger panels and boards.
The guide fence for ripping operations slides smoothly along a solid steel bar with a measuring scale marked out in millimetres. The fence itself can be used in two positions, the second position allows for very thin cuts to be made in thin materials without obstructing the blade guard. A great feature of the fence system is the addition of a micro adjuster which allows accurate small adjustments to be made when setting the position of the fence.
On the left hand side of the saw is the sliding crosscut carriage. The table is again made from cast iron and precision ground for a durable flat surface. The table runs on four sealed for life bearings along an aluminium guide track. The fence itself can be locked at any angle from 90 to degrees, and there is a positive stop to ensure the fence returns back the the 90 degree position. A work clamp ensures timber stays locked in position during the cut. A flip-over length stop for accurate repeat cutting completes the carriage assembly.
The power is generated from a 1700w (2.1/4 hp) induction motor which gives a low noise level and will run from any standard 13amp, 240v power supply.
Setting the sawblade angle and height is done using two separate hand wheels. A large easy to read scale on the front face of the machine allows accurate bevel angles to be set.
Efficient dust extraction is included as standard. Dust is collected from the back of the saw guard and a hose transfers it to the rear of the machine. Underneath the table is a hood which collects more dust and tranfers it to the same collection point. A single extractor hose connection point of 100mm diameter is provided at the rear of the machine.
The table saw is supplied with four adjustable feet for levelling on an uneven surface. For anybody needing to move the saw around the workshop our universal wheel base, W520 is the ideal companion.
Supplied with 36 tooth TCT sawblade, push stick, cable and plug.

Spindle moulder cutter block, specifically designed for rebating. Fits any moulder with a 30mm diameter spindle. The cutterblock has 2, double edged, planing knives and 4 spur cutters. The spur cutters give a clean crisp edge to the internal corner when rebating. The spurs can removed if required.
We also include a ring fence, which consists of a bearing with 30mm bore and an 85mm collar to run the work piece along. It is used for flush trimming, for example trimming off veneers and laminates after they have been applied to a board. The ring fence can be removed from the bearing. The outer diameter of the bearing is 55mm, which gives a rebating depth of 15mm when the bearing guide is mounted above the cutterblock.
The rebate block can be used for cutting curved timber, but should only be used with an appropriate guard fitted to the moulder.
The block is supplied in a foam lined aluminium storage case to keep it safe.
The cutting knives are double edged and replacements are supplied as a pair. the spur cutters have 4 points and replacements are supplied as a set of 4.

NEW DESIGN FOR 2010 !
A new modern style design has been achieved with our latest disc and belt sander. This combination sander has big capacities and plenty of power to perform a variety of workshop tasks.
The base houses a 1hp induction motor, which is connected via a strong V-belt to the drive shaft where the sanding disc is mounted. This design allows the speed of the disc to be restricted to 1800rpm which is ideal for sanding. A cast iron work table, fitted with a T-slot mitre guide, ensure accurate sanding of end grain and angled pieces. The sturdy table is hinged at both ends and can be lowered to any angle up to 45 degrees for sanding bevelled pieces.
The sanding belt can be use either horizontally or vertically. when using the belt in the upright position the work table can be moved from in front of the disc and refitted to the belt. Working in this manner gives a slightly bigger capacity of 150mm (6") for end grains.
As with any dust producing machinery, dust extraction should be carefully considered and we always recommend an extractor is used. For anybody not using a separate extractor the W409 has an integral powered fan which draws air from both the belt and the disc collector hoods, and expels it from the outlet. We include a cloth bag fitted with a quick action clamp to collect the dust.
A handy cable tidy completes the design for those times when you need to move the machine off the bench.

Powerful disc and belt sander for all home workshops. This new superior model has a bigger motor than any of its predecessors.
The motor is housed inside the base, well away from any dust, and a strong V-belt is used to drive the sanding belt and disc. Having the sanding disc mounted on this secondary driven shaft allows the rotation speed to be slowed down to the correct speed for sanding as opposed to machines where the disc is driven directly from the motor.
The 6" diameter sanding disc has a large work table with a T-slot for the mitre guide. Another improvement over the traditional sander is that the work table is hinged at both ends giving a much more rigid mounting. The mitre guide can be adjusted from the 90 degree position by 60 degrees left or right. The table tilts from 90 to 45 degrees and can be locked at any angle.
The sanding belt can be used in both the horizontal position with the back stop in place, or in the vertical position moving the work table from the disc to the belt. The open end of the belt can also be used for sanding, with the round drum allowing shapes and curves to be sanded. The sanding belt is fitted with a quick release belt tensioning system and an easily adjusted tracking control.
Dust control has been carefully thought out with integral collector hoods fitted to both disc and belt functions, extracted via a single outlet at the back of the machine. 50mm diameter hose will fit straight onto the outlet, our optional converter can be used to adapt it to 100mm diameter hose.

Inaccurate mitres are the cause of most badly joined picture frames. The normal electric sanders have been shunned by Picture Framers due to the noise and dust. Dust is the enemy of anyone assembling frames with glass. This 12" hand operated sander is an ideal solution. This manual disc sander is the perfect tool for achieving precise smooth mitres once the picture frame moulding has been pre-cut, using a hand saw.
The moulding first needs to be cut oversize, using a hand saw or electric mitre saw, then simply shave the rough mitre edge off using the sander. This will give perfect mitres for joining.
The fence can be adjusted so both mitre angles can easily be cleaned up. Our setting guage allows a 45 degree angle to be quickly and accurately selected.

A heavy duty router table with a strong steel floorstand and a table top of cast iron. The front half of the table is actually a sliding carriage and is fitted with a fence and work clamp to make short work of end grain cutting and tenons. This cross cut fence can be fitted anywhere along the length of the table and can also be locked in at 45 degrees.
The main fence used for edge moulding and trenching operations has independently adjustable infeed and outfeed fences, ideal for planing edges, and two spring plates to hold the work piece down against the table.

A Deluxe Woodturners Bowl Sanding Kit, used to effortlessly sand pieces while still mounted on the lathe.
The handle of the sander has a soft foam grip for extra comfort. The head can be adjusted to any angle to find the perfect position for accessing complex designs. The four foam backed, velcro faced sanding pads are a push fit into the head, so no tools required. The soft foam backing allows the pad to change shape and take the form of the piece being sanded, with only a light press. Using velcro sanding discs has the advantage of being able to quickly work down to fine grit sizes and then re-using the discs for the next project.

Originally designed as a portable mitre saw stand for site work, we soon realised this versatile product can be used for virtually any woodworking tool. ( Come and see our showroom if you are not convinced )
Incredibly strong yet incredibly light is the best way to describe this new model. The legs quickly fold down, without the need for any tools, and are made from round aluminium tube to keep the weight down. There are two roller supports, one at each end, which are adjustable to prvide complete support for work pieces up to 3m in length. There is also a flip-up stop attached to each roller which speeds up repeat cuts.
Probably the best new feature is the quick action clamping system. Any tool can be mounted onto the stand, or taken off for transport, in a matter of seconds. The two base runners remain attached to the tool and a simple lever locks the runners onto the stand. For smaller bench top machines you might even mount two at the same time.
The roller supports make it ideal for using with a mitre saw, router table, planer or thicknesser. We have also used them with a lathe, disc sander, belt sander, morticer. bandsaw and grinder.

A drum type fine wood dust and chip extractor with a 50 litre capacity ideal for small workshops using bench top machinery and powertools. Because these machines generate a high speed of air through the hose (known as HPLV) they are suitable for reducing down to a smaller diameter hose when using power tools.
At the heart of the extractor is a 0.5 micron cartridge filter which is fine enough to filter dust from every machine in the workshop. It is suitable for use with sanding machinery and MDF dust.

Simply connect a 100mm diameter hose from your dust extractor to the outlet on the sweeper. Two roller wheels guide the dust hood along taking up the dust and chips from the floor with it. The long handle allows the operator to keep a straight back whilst guiding the sweeper. The angle between the sweeper and the handle can be adjusted to suit all heights.
When not in use, a supprt leg keeps it stable so the handle remains at a convenient height ready to use.

The headstock on this professional level wood lathe can be positioned anywhere along the bed and rotated to any angle so that a comfortable position can always be found for any job. The headstock, toolrest and tailstock are all made from cast iron and have cam-locking levers for fast adjustment.
The lathe is connected to any standard 240volt power supply but an inverter then converts the power to 3 phase electricity to supply the motor. When working with a router table which has a taqble made of thick material, typically hte cast iron type or home made tables, a collet extension may be required. Certain jobs require the cutter to be lifted above the surface of the table. Fitting neatly into the gap between the heaviest router table and an industrial sized spindle moulder this machine is ideally suited to small professional workshops.

Fully adjustable guards are connected to a hinged plate which can quickly be lifted to allow clear access to change the tooling.
The sliding carriage consists of a cast iron table with four bearing guides running along an aluminium extrusion. The fence angle can be set accurately between 90 and 45 degrees with a useful stop to quickly return to 90 degrees again. A hold down clamp and a length stop complete the equipment.

5 function universal woodworking centre.
The Universal is actually made up from our two seperate machines W583 planer thicknesser and W683 Saw Moulder Combination. The joining kit is supplied and the electrics connect so that all functions are controlled form a single selector switch. The advantage of being able to break the machine into two halves is that you can actually fit the machine through a 24" wide doorway.
Planer Thicknesser; A solid and well finished planer thicknesser for the busy workshop. With cast iron beds, and a long tilting fence which can be positiones at any point across the table. The 3 knife cutterblock is powered by a 2hp induction motor and is capable of a cut up to 5mm deep in a single pass. To gain better visibility and access for thicknessing, both of the planing beds are hinged and swing out of the way. A dust hood / cutter gaurd is then swung into position. The feed roller drive, which features a rubber outfeed roller, can be disengaged when planing to save motor power and general wear.

This new British designed picture framing underpinner is very simple to use thanks to its advanced features and modern engineering. It is a perfect entry level underpinner for professional bespoke picture framers although it is often also chosen by keen amateur artists. It is recommended for anyone producing up to 100 frames per week.
There are two foot pedals. The right hand pedal operates the moulding rebate clamp which securely grips the picture frame moulding from the front, holding it securely against the frame guide, before pinning.
The left hand pedal has a dual action. Firstly the top clamp is lowered so that the moulding is now clamped in two directions. Secondly the wedge (or V-Nail if you prefer) is inserted underneath the moulding. To make the M3 simple to use there is an indicator light which illuminates when the wedge has been fully inserted and the joining operation is finished.
Another great feature on this machine is that the entire frame guide and rebate clamping system are mounted on a sliding carriage, essential when inserting more than one wedge into a corner, which is recommended for any moulding greater than 20mm wide. When moving the frame backwards or forwards to insert a second wedge, the rebate clamp and the frame guide travel with it, so that the moulding always remains tightly clamped.
The frame guide has a front and back limit stop, which can be set to keep wedge positions accurately placed when making a batch of frames from the same moulding.
When using tall mouldings the fence can be locked in position allowing wedges to be stacked two on top of each other, therefore two 10mm wedges become a 20mm wedge. The second one driving the first deeper into the moulding.
The M3 has a magazine which glued strips of wedges are loaded into. The wedges are supplied in strips of up to 200, enough for at least 25 frames without re-loading.
The extension tables (as shown) enable fairly large frames to be supported comfortably and assembled by one person.

Most people only ever assemble 4 sided frames, squares and rectangles. With the M3 it is possible to also make 6 sided and 8 sided frames with the addition of the optional templates.

A foot operated mitre guillotine for cutting very accurate 45 degree mitres. Perfect for picture framers and woodworkers.
We offer two models of this machine; VMM and SMM. Only the measuring systems are different. The standard machine, most commonly used by joiners and picture framers is the VMM.
VMM Professional quality manufactured to the highest specification for high accuracy and a long life of service. Precision ground cast iron tables and a heavy duty steel frame guarantee they are tough enough for constant use. A foot pedal operates the up and down movement of the blades which cut two mitres at the same time. Wide mouldings and timber are no problem thanks to the 'byte by byte' system which allows timber of up to 4" wide to be precisely measured and cut.
To ensure that delicate rebates are not broken from the moulding during the cut, two rebate supports are fitted to the machine which can be adjust in height to suit any moulding. They give support to the moulding right next to the blade during the cut to prevent breaking. The front fences are normally set up to cut at 45 degrees for a four sided frame. For those special occasions however, the fences can be adjusted to preset markings on the table to cut 6 or 8 sided frames.
The sliding vernier measuring system on the right hand side of the blade, with metric scales in mm, can accurately position lengths of up to 1500mm. The system also accounts for the width of the moulding, so that the operator only has to work to the size of the artwork going into the frame, rather than the actual outer dimensions of the frame.
The heart of the guillotine is the knives themselves. The VMM now comes as standard with our PK Premiuim knives which are the hardest knives available anywhere. If you are a professional user you will undoubtebly buy a spare set of knives for when it is time to send them away for sharpening. The new VMM model has a handy tray for storing spare knives and service tools. Cast iron tables and a steel floorstand ensure this machine will remain accurate throughout many years of work.
We now also supply as standard a left hand extension bed (not shown here) Which allows a single operator to effortlessly work with long lenghts of moulding.
The waste chips are collected at the back of the machine and slide into a plastic waste sack. If you want to place the guillotine up against a wall, our optional Side Chute makes chip collection more convenient.
SMM This model is preferred by some picture framers as the measuring system is quicker to use. The table top is marked with lines running at 45 degrees and a scale (metric) so that no measuring of the rebate width is needed before you make the cut. The cast iron table is longer on this model to accommodate the full 1500mm cutting length.
Both models supplied with measuring system, left hand extension table which extends the bed by 770mm, rebate supports, premium resharpenable knives, adjustable fences, waste chute, collection bag, tool tray and cutter guards.

In a busy workshop a spare set of blades is essential when the original blades are sent away for sharpening. Our blades, supplied in pairs, are compatible with other brands of guillotine such as Morso and Hansen.
PK Premium quality knives are manufactured from a special hardened steel and are proven to be harder than any other blades available. They are precision ground and honed.
SK Standard quality knives are the traditional type ideal for working mainly in softwoods.
RK Reversible knives are a more economic option when working with narrower materials, up to 60mm wide, because the blades can be reversed to double the life in between regrinds.
EHK The extra height kit consists of two side feet and an extended pedal to lift the working table height to 1040mm, which is more comfortable for taller operators.
SC When the guillotine is situated up against a wall, emptying the waste bag is an awkward job. The Side Chute brings the waste chips around the side of the machine for collection in a box.

A compact and portable planer thicknesser which is light enough to move off the bench when not in use and yet tough enough to produce 8" x 5" timber into flat and dimensioned pieces. The planning beds are precision ground aluminium and the guide fence is a rigid aluminium extrusion which can be tilted and locked at any angle up to 45 degrees when required.
The steel thicknessing bed has an extension arm on the outfeed side and is supported in each corner by chain driven adjusting screws. Once the height is set, rubber coated feed rollers pass the timber through the cutter.
The dust hood is particularly good, fitting on top of the thicknessing bed during planing operations and then moved over the top when thicknessing. A location sensor detects that the dust hood has been correctly fitted before allowing the motor to run.
