Based on an early design, our spokeshave has the low cutting angle (20 degree basic level & 25 degree microbevel), but cutting depth has been simplified. Instead of adjusting blade protection, the blade is fixed, forming the sole of the spokeshave. The toe piece adjusts controlling the depth of cut & is suited to convex & flat work. Flipped 180 degrees it can be used on concave work too. The mouth opening is controllable, while the adjustable toe piece controls the depth of the cut. The 3mm thick blade is made of A2 steel, which holds an edge some five times longer.
